Mein Herz schl?gt doch im Geheimen f?r die Tourenwagen der 70'er, als der kleine Frank sich f?r Motorsport zu interessieren begann.
Daher bin ich viel mit GTL unterwegs, man keine seine Wurzeln einfach nicht verleugnen! :verlegen:

In den GTR2 Downloadlinks von Gernot (hier klicken) ist auch der Link zum Power&Glory Mod f?r GTR2, welcher sozusagen GTL f?r GTR2 ist (GTL DVD braucht man zur Installation, aber die kostet nur 10€).
Auch wenn bisher nur die 65'er und ein paar wenige 76'er Tourenwagen dabei sind; das sieht sehr gut aus!
Und man kann im Regen fahren :supi:

Wer GTL und GTR2 hat:
Unbedingt angucken und besser in ein neues Verzeichnis installieren. Das macht der Installer selber, sehr komfortabel. Dann allerdings sind im Locations-Verzeichnis nur die originale GTR2 Strecken.
Daf?r habe ich allerdings auch ein Bonbon:
Ein Tool, das mir erlaubt Junction-Points zu setzen (geht ab XP aufw?rts; braucht NTFS 5.0 aufw?rts als Filesystem, denn Junctionpoints sind ist ein Feature von NTFS):

Damit kann man ein leeres Verzeichnis mit einem bestehendes Verzeichnis "koppeln", so da? beide den gleichen Inhalt haben. Nachdem in den letzten Wochen ausgiebig Gelegenheit zum Testen des Mods auf unserem Server bestand, w?rde ich's gern mal mit einem richtigen Rennen probieren. Aufgrund der hohen Geschwindigkeiten verlangt dies nat?rlich von allen Teilnehmern ein gewisses Ma? an Umsicht und Disziplin, aber das sollte zu schaffen sein. Gerold und ich sind uns beim Testen kein einziges Mal in die Karre gefahren, soweit ich mich erinnern kann.:jo:

Die Autos sind alle gleich, da kann man sich also h?chstens das seines favorisierten Fahrers sichern, wenn man m?chte. ?ber Strecke und weitere Modalit?ten k?nnen wir uns hier einigen. Road America steht bei mir weit oben auf der Liste, weil's sich da gut racen l?sst und auch die Framerate stimmt. Wetter w?rde ich den Server bestimmen lassen, das bringt mehr Pfeffer. Startzeit w?re noch zu kl?ren.

Da von uns bisher nach meinem Wissen nur drei Mann ins ChampCar gestiegen sind, w?rde ich auch bei RSC was reinstellen, damit's ein bisschen voller auf der Strecke wird. Da ich nun endlich wieder eine funktionierende Graka habe (zwar immer noch im alten lahmen Rechner, aber egal), wurde der GTR2-Server zum Testen mit dem ChampCar-Mod gestartet. Funktioniert aus meiner Sicht problemlos, Physik und Sounds sind erste Sahne, h?tte nicht gedacht, dass sich moderne Formel-Rennwagen in einer Sim mal so gut steuern lassen. Mehr Info zu den Servereinstellungen gibt's hier (wurde aus einem Unterforum hierher verschoben, damit's leichter zu finden ist).

Mod und Strecken findet ihr wie immer im Download-Thread f?r GTR2.

F?rs Wochenende, vorzugsweise Samstagabend, habe ich eine kleine italienische Rennstrecke und ein paar Ferrari F40 angemietet. Kaum zu glauben, dass die Kiste schon ?ber 20 Jahre alt ist...

praktisch identisch mit dem VR Rennen, nur k?rzer
